Technical info
The power of WorkplaceControl
WorkplaceControl is developed for changing Lotus Notes client settings, as needed with mail migrations, server consolidations, initial setup, client upgrades and troubleshooting. All Notes clients can be updated by sending out a single action memo to the specified user.
WorkplaceControl runs entirely within the Notes Client. The administrator composes an action script within WorkplaceControl, using the rich feature set specified below. The scripts are sent to the users by Notes mail. When the user opens the mail containing the action memo, the script runs automatically.
After execution, a report containing the event logging will be returned. The report can be sent as a text file to the admin mailbox or stored in the included repository database (mail-in database). This database offers powerful features to view and assess the information returned from the user's workstation. WorkplaceControl complies with the Notes security model (ECL dependent).
